From the team at Columbia comes their latest collection, a selection of jackets, parkas, pullovers and hats inspired by the heroes of The Clone Wars. We were fortunate enough to be sent a couple of the items from the range, the Republic Heavyweight Pullover in blue and the matching Republic Ball Cap, and as you can see I was rather stoked to receive them.
The pullover is ridiculously comfortable, with a deep central pocket cleverly designed with a lip either side, so the content of the pocket remain where they need to be. The hood is deep, lined and comfortable, with a drawstring cord to tighten the hood that is made with a fold-over stich in the flat string to prevent it from retracting inside the hood, as so many drawstrings do.
I’ve been wearing it for most of the week, both on Star Wars duty and socially, and it’s quickly become my go-to hoodie. Here I am with the rest of the Fantha Midllands team on a night out this week wearing the Pullover.
Meanwhile, the Cap compliments the Pullover perfectly, looking good on its own or with the hood pulled over it. With the nights drawing in and the temperatures dropping, I can see me wearing this combinations regularly over the coming months.
