Speaking at the recent Bafta Cymru, where he presented Lucasfilm’s Lynwen Brennan with an award, C-3PO actor, Anthony Daniels spoke with the Sunday Times about the claim that there is over-saturation of Star Wars content.

Last week, Daniels said he believed Disney had “learnt its lesson” about diluting the main narrative.

“I think they did overstep the mark and got overenthusiastic,” Daniels, 73, said at the Bafta Cymru awards in Cardiff. “People became satiated. Star Wars went full tilt and overfed the audience.”

“People will say this is the film we actually wanted to see,” he said of The Rise of Skywalker, which will be released in December.

“I think [the new film] will refresh and please a lot of people. Then maybe there will be a break.”
