Boba Fett movie “leaked” papers a fabrication not made of tin

Omega Underground are reporting on rumours of the Boba Fett movie being back in full production, and claim to have papers indicating that the film is under production using the Stannum 50 Labs business name.

Back in my Jedi News days I helped reveal Foodles Productions which became The Force Awakens, I was also the first person to report on Space Bear being for The Last Jedi, Lunark Heavy Industries for Rogue One, and that Stannum 50 Labs and Carbonado Industries was to be used for Boba Fett and Solo respectively.  When it comes to Star Wars business names I have something of a history you could say.

Of course release schedules changed, and films were shelved meaning that Solo came before Fett, and thus the Stannum 50 Labs company was used before Carbonado.  Yes Solo used the production company Stannum 50 Labs not Carbonado during it’s production.

The information is all out there and part of public record and fact checked by Fantha Tracks.  For example, extras in the production list Stannum 50 Labs as the company making “Red Cup” which we all know is the working title of Solo.  Confirmed by Lucasfilm themselves.

Accounting records held by Companies House, the corporate government regulatory body in the UK where the films are made, and seen by Fantha Tracks show the significant spend by the company up to 10th February 2017 as the Solo film geared up to start production.  It would be something of an odd spend level for a Fett film not even in production…

It would thus appear that the documents that Omega Underground has are a complete fabrication.  IF there is a Boba Fett production it is not using the Stannum 50 Labs name.  Each film production uses its own company.

Closer inspection also shows that the mail address on the letter is not correct for the production at Pinewood.  It is not the admin mail address used for the myriad of theatrical imports and exports made by Stannum 50 Labs from LA (again documents of public record).  The phone number is that of the Pinewood switch board – odd for a production with its own on site offices….  I have of course chosen not to publish the correct details out of respect to the privacy of the production staff.

Could a Boba Fett film be under production – yes, it’s very possible.  But when the evidence used to back up the claim falls apart under any degree of scrutiny then you have to question the validity of the entirety of the story.  Omega Underground appear to have been caught out here.

The proof given for this production is a fabrication made of something other than tin, and it would appear that a simple switch in companies used for each project has caught this fake news out.  But where does it leave us…

Carbonado Productions and PLT Productions are the two Lucasfilm owned businesses in the UK without a production attached to them that we know of yet.

Could one be “Tin Can” resurrected, time will tell, but we can put this rumour to bed for now.
