The life of a working actor can be an uncertain one, one as likely to be littered with failed pilots, box office disasters and cancelled series as smashes, hits and iconic moments. Speaking with ComicBook, Master Indara actress Carrie Anne-Moss was asked what her feelings were regarding the cancellation of The Acolyte, and where she learned the show would not be returning.

“Yeah. I mean, I’ve been asked that question a lot today, and it’s funny because, you know, when being an actor, you’re in shows all the time that are canceled and it’s in the beginning, it’s kind of a bummer, and then you just learn to not really be invested. You can’t be, it’s a protection mechanism.

I mean I died, so I was like I love everybody, but I didn’t, and I didn’t read about it. I heard from, like, a dad at school, and I was already working on something else. So it’s sort of like, oh, okay. it was over already for me. I don’t know, maybe that’s… I’m glad you liked it though. Yeah, I, I really enjoyed doing that too.”

While it’s almost certain she would have played no part in a second season like her co-stars Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Joonas Suotamo and Lee Jung-jae, her cool reaction is no surprise given the oftentimes turbulent world of entertainment. Let’s just be thankful we briefly had an actress of her quality in the GFFA.
