Dave Filoni to recieve the George Pal Memorial Award at the 51st Saturn Awards

Lucasfilm’s Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni will be awarded the George Pal Memorial Award at the 51st Saturn Awards on 4th February, an honour bestowed on only the most deserving creatives including Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy, John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, Guillermo del Toro, William Friedkin and Ray Harryhausen. Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn Awards producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus said this of Filoni.

“Dave’s work has had a profound impact on the Star Wars franchise, breathing new life into beloved characters and expanding the universe in exciting and unexpected ways. He is a true visionary in the world of animation and storytelling, and we are truly honored to bestow this very special award to him.”

Congratulations to Dave, and remember that a number of Lucasfilm projects have been nominated at this years Saturns, so fingers crossed for a night of success.
