It launched in the US, Canada and the Netherlands yesterday, crashed within hours of going online and has caused a social media stir equivalent to a Kim Kardashian Instagram post (ie HUGE) and news comes via What’s On Disney Plus that the newly launched platform has hit an incredible number of subscribers.

Disney+, the highly anticipated streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has already reached a major milestone, achieving a remarkable 10 million sign-ups since launching.

Compare that to Netflix 158 million paid subscribers, 60 million of which are in the States and Amazon having over 100 million in the States alone. Disney Plus has a long way to go, but yesterday has to be considered a stunning start, bolstered by the good word generated by The Mandalorian and new TV shows and films as they arrive on the platform.
