The character of Chirrut Imwe in Rogue One left an indelible mark on the Star Wars story, his monastic chant of ‘I’m one with the Force, and the Force is with me‘ becoming the Star Wars phrase of 2016, and despite his characters demise in the final act of the film, in a world of prequels and second chances (here’s looking at you Darth Maul) no one is ever truly gone and Donnie Yen, currently filming John Wick 4 with Keanu Reeves, was asked about that potential return.

“Well, I would definitely consider it. I had a great time shooting Rogue One, and I guess people like my character. It really depends, you don’t know what they’re thinking. I leave it up to Disney to sort it out. We’ll see. I believe in destiny. A lot of times, what brings people together in one film, it’s all about timing and destiny.”

Maybe Andor could see a Chirrut appearance, or another avenue – perhaps animation – but whatever the format, more Chirrut and Baze Malbus can only be a good thing.
