Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Johnson join Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out’

Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Johnson are the latest names attached to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out.  Plot details for Knives Out are being kept under wraps, but its understood the film is a modern day version of the “whodunnit locked door mansion murder mystery” a tool often deployed in Agatha Christie novels.

After reprising her role as Laurie Strode in the new Halloween film, scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis is up for another bout of murder in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out. Variety has reported Curtis is the latest to join the growing A-list ensemble cast in the Star Wars: The Last Jedi director’s new murder mystery.

Daniel Craig (Skyfall) will portray a detective investigating the murder while Curtis’ role is unknown. Production is expected to commence in November.

Alongside Craig, Curtis joins a cast that includes Chris Evans (Avengers: Infinity War), Michael Shannon (Waco) and Lakeith Stanfield (Sorry to Bother You), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049) and Don Johnson (Miami Vice).

In addition to directing, Johnson has also written the script and will produce the movie with his regular partner Ram Bergman.
