Speaking over the weekend at Awesome Con in Washington DC, John Boyega touched on the Episode IX script and made mention of something that will delight fans, especially those who loved the chemistry between Rey and Finn, something that was sorely missed in The Last Jedi.

“I haven’t read the script for Episode 9. But Daisy did shoot me a text saying, “Oh my gosh, I just heard from J.J. [Abrams], and we’re back together. That’s what I’m really excited about, is Finn and Rey back together again.”

And in regards to the final chapter of the third trilogy, Boyega had this to say.

“I think it’s going to be all-out war in this final chapter, so we need to be prepared.”

After the Resistance was virtually rendered extinct at the end of The Last Jedi, being prepared seems to be an absolute minimum requirement.

Let’s hope those kids at the end of the film have raised their own version of Dumbledore’s army to fight the multitudinous forces of the First Order.
