He blew us away as Ouroboros in season 2 of Loki, stole the show in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, and was part of many of our childhoods as Data in The Goonies and of course Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom for Lucasfilm, director Speven Spielberg and Associate Producer Kathleen Kennedy, and it was Kennedy that Ke Huy Quan turned to when thinking about the next franchise to light up with his Academy Award winning talents.

“I was shameless when I saw Kathy! I went up to give her a big hug. And I said, “Kathy, Kathy, please put me in the Star Wars universe!” And what’s so great about it, if you think about it, it’s all under the Disney family, you know? So, I was lucky to be Short Round, which is also Disney. And, now MCU, and, you know, I want to stay in the family. It’s great.”
