Only two months have passed since we first heard that Kevin Feige would be developing at least one Star Wars movie, and naturally every comment he makes on the topic will now be placed under the microscope.

In an interview with the Awards Chatter podcast for The Hollywood Reporter, Feige touched on his plans, which he had just last month pitched to Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy, and Disney’s Bob Iger, Alan Horn and Alan Bergman.

Two notable comments from the podcast was Feige on the topic of the movie:

“I love that world and I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe. But that’s sort of all that can be said for now.”

And his thoughts on the existing Star Wars line:

“Well they’ve made about five movies in about five years and it’s made over five billion dollars, so I think they’re doing just fine with Star Wars. And Rise of Skywalker looks incredible to me,”
