The news of a Kevin Feige Star Wars film has been out there for a number of years, but the identity of its writer has not been revealed…until now. Basking in the $450 million worldwide opening of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and his hit series Loki, writer Michael Waldron, speaking with the Hero Nation podcast revealed that not only is he not writing Loki season 2 but confirmed – as he did last summer with GQ* – that he is indeed writing that Kevin Feige Star Wars project.

“It’s been reported – and I’ve talked about this – that Eric Martin has taken over as head writer on [Loki] season 2. Eric was my second in command through season 1… and obviously I’ve been busy off writing this little Star Wars movie as well. And yeah, that’s been made by another guy named Kevin. But I think [Loki season 2] is going to be fantastic.”

Could we hear confirmation of this at Celebration Anaheim? No way of knowing, but either way great news that this is progressing.

*Thanks to Bence Foldi for the correction.
