Star Wars Celebration returns, launching with a must-see showcase that will kick the weekend’s festivities into hyperdrive. Lucasfilm’s current crop of live-action filmmakers will be joined by special guests to discuss the many Star Wars adventures coming soon, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Mandalorian.

Our panel recap follows:

A choir sings Duel of the Fates to launch 2022’s Star Wars Celebration.

OBI-WAN KENOBI

The cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi take the stage.

ANDOR

Tony Gilroy talks Star Wars: Andor

Andor takes place 5 years before the events of Rogue One. They’ve already shot the first seasons 12 episodes and will shoot 12 more for season two.  This will take you right up to Rogue One.  Season two begins to film later this year.

The first trailer is released:

Andor will debut with a two episode premiere.

WILLOW

Willow will hit our screens November 30th.

This fall, a new adventure begins. ✨ Watch the teaser trailer for #Willow, an Original series streaming November 30, only on #DisneyPlus.

THE MANDALORIAN & AHSOKA

The Mandalorian Season 3 teaser trailer is shown exclusively to those in attendance, and not released to the millions of Star Wars fans unable to make it to Celebration during a global pandemic and crippling inflation…  no reason is given for the decision.

Games Radar report:

The new footage, which is not yet available to the public, sees Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin travelling to Mandalore to be “forgiven for his transgressions.” Bo-Katan Kryze is then seen on a throne – and Baby Yoda and Mando are back together once more. “Did you think your Dad was the only Mandalorian?” someone asks Grogu.

Ahsoka will debut in 2023.  A brief video is shown of Rosario Dawson saying hello from set.

SKELETON CREW

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, produced by Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni and created by Jon Watts & Christopher Ford, will star Jude Law. Coming in 2023.

JOHN WILLIAMS

HARRISON FORD

INDIANA JONES
