Good news for UK Star Wars fans who enjoy browsing the channels on a weekend and landing on something familiar as the original Star Wars trilogy is playing on ITV2. Later today at 6.25pm it’s A New Hope, followed on Sunday at 1.05pm by The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi right afterwards at 3.40pm and finally Rogue One at 6.20pm.

Other than the thought that Rogue One should have been screened first, what a treat. The first UK terrestrial Star Wars screenings since The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker were shown on Channel 4 on the 1st, 8th, and 15th of October 2021, and five years since the last terrestrial screening of A New Hope.
