Some familiar Star Wars voices have joined the cast of “Superman: Red Son” the new DC Universe Animated Original Movies adaptation of Mark Millar’s acclaimed comic book.

Jason Issacs (Star Wars Rebels, the Grand Inquisitor), Vanessa Marshall (Star Wars Rebels, Hera), and Phil LaMarr (Star Wars Rebels, Senator Organa as well as countless video games) are all part of the cast.

Published in 2003, Superman: Red Son reimagines the Man of Steel with the infant Kal-El crash landing in the Soviet Union as opposed to Smallville, where he is raised to be “the Champion of the common worker who fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, socialism, and the international expansion of the Warsaw Pact.”

The animated movie is slated for release in early 2020.
