A few of us Fanthas have been following “The Empire Strikes Door” project by Jamie Stangroom for some time and are very excited to see that a release date has been confirmed. Jamie wrote to us to say the following:
The Empire Strikes Door.
It’s cinemas most concussive blooper but who was the clumsy trooper that bumped his head in the very first Star Wars film? With three actors claiming responsibility broadcaster and Star Wars fan Jamie Stangroom is on a mission to find out which one is telling the truth.
After interviews and polygraph tests with the suspects, he also spoke to producer Gary Kurtz, extras on set at the time, the films assistant directors and the man who created the original Stormtrooper outfits. All of the evidence he acquired was then sent to his virtual jury, consisting of Chris Jericho, his Fozzy band mate Rich Ward, Greg Grunberg, Ahmed Best and head juror Kevin Smith. Also casting votes are youtubers, journalists and Star Wars fans from around the world – together they will decide who they believe is the true galactic idiot.
The Empire Strikes Door will be released on Jamie’s youtube channel on January 29th.
