The Mandalorian: Work began on season three back in November 2019

Star Wars isn’t a thing to be rushed, and back in the day the big screen saga episodes would take 3 years to plan, design and prepare, so it should be no surprise that the third season of The Mandalorian was being worked upon two years ahead of its planned debut in October 2021 – next year.

Lucasfilms Phil Szostak tweeted this information earlier today, a fascinating tidbit of information that only goes to show the thought, care and dedication going into the world of The Mandalorian.
