As if the lessons of Back to the Future, The Terminator, The Butterfly Effect and Hot Tub Time Machine weren’t warning enough, you can now add to the list Time Travel Is Dangerous, a star-packed UK sci-fi comedy featuring GFFA stars Stephen Fry (Skeleton Crew), Guy Henry (Rogue One), Brian Blessed (The Phantom Menace) and Brian Bovell (Andor) in a story that sees shop owners Megan and Ruth travel back in time to stock their vintage shop, unravelling the fabric of time while they do it. The film is getting a US cinematic release ahead of landing on VOD on 21st November.

Level 33 Entertainment has acquired distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada for director Chris Reading’s mockumentary film and will release it in select theaters and via VOD on Nov. 21, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. Real-life best friends and vintage shop owners Ruth Syratt and Megan Stevenson star in the film that features Stephen Fry as the narrator.

Johnny Vegas (Benidorm), Sophie Thompson (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Mark Heap (Spaced), Jane Horrocks (Little Voice) and Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) round out the comedy’s cast.

IMDB have this summary of the films concept.

Best friends Ruth and Megan run a vintage shop in Muswell Hill. Stumbling across a time machine, they embark on trips to the past to stock their shop with no idea of the irreparable damage they’re causing to the fabric of the universe.
