While we wait for the return of Fleabag on 17th May, news arrives that this will be the final episodes, and a third season is not on the cards. Speaking recently at a Television Critics Association panel writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge confirmed that the second season would be its last.

“I decided there absolutely should not be a third. I needed space. I grew up in that time. It’s the next chapter. That means you can delve into whole aspects of that psychology. It gives you psychological freedom. Going back watching the first series after that much time taught me so much about writing.”

Of course, before then we have the second season of Waller-Bridge’s other major TV series, the magnificent Killing Eve, in my opinion the most gripping television series of recent years.
