Star Wars: Galactic Racer is going down a storm, as gamers and racers take on tracks across the galaxy on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (including Amazon Luna). Here we learn the first major patch is now available for all platforms, what is called a quality-of-life update which sees changes to party size, keyboard layouts and more.

Increased Party sizes, keyboard layout presets, and more are included in the first STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ quality-of-life update.

Please Note: After you download and install the update, please check your vehicle customization for the campaign, as we have seen instances of this resetting after the update.

Increased Party size

Thanks to all those players who reached out to us to let us know that they wanted to share their experience of playing Star Wars: Galactic Racer with more of their friends in online multiplayer. We wanted to bring this update to you as soon as we possibly could.

The Party size in online multiplayer has been increased from 3 players to 6 players in this quality-of-life update. We can’t wait to see you challenge more of your friends in multiplayer Tours and hear your stories in our community spaces and watch along online.

Keyboard Layout Presets

We know that the lack of key re-binding support in the game is impacting the experience of our mouse & keyboard players. We’ve added multiple keyboard layout presets to support AZERTY keys and left/right-handed play as part of this update.

This is the first step towards addressing this feedback and one that we were able to implement quickly. Key rebinding support is on the horizon and will be included in a future update.

This quality-of-life update also includes the following:

An increase to the number of credits you receive when you join mid-Tour in online multiplayer from 4,000 to 6,000.
Transition tidy-ups for Spectator camera view in multiplayer.
Removal of the option to ‘Exit the game’ in the multiplayer menu on PC to stop accidental quits.
A number of party stability fixes.
A fix for a PS5 connection issue.
A fix for an issue that would cause an AMD Frame Interpolation game crash.
