Star Wars: Galactic Racer hits the track on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 6th October, and ahead of the galaxy’s greatest race beginning across the planet in earnest, the official site take a look at the various types of vehicles – that’s podracers, skim speeders, speeder bikes and landspeeders – that you can race in the game, and in-universe mechanic Hibi is here to walk you through these classes.

Behind every winning racer is a phenomenal mechanic, and Shade and Hibi are no exception! The mysterious and masked Shade, the protagonist of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, can always count on the Ardennian engineer to lend a hand – or four.

Hibi has been taking the time to explain the vehicles Shade will be racing in the Galactic League in her very own video series, Under the Hood.

Be sure to check back on 6th October for some Fantha Fiction, a short story I wrote back in 2002 for Lightsabre.co.uk (later printed in the self-published 2014 compilation Tales From The Setnin Sector and reprinted in the Vintage Rebellion fanzine It Came From The Loft #6 in 2025) about a four-armed racer and his mechanic called Bacta Reality.
