Blocks 50 is here, celebrating half a century of issues and the Wizarding World as the magazine delves into Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Blocks magazine visits the Wizarding World as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald arrives in cinemas.

In this milestone issue of Blocks magazine, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter takes the spotlight, with an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with LEGO designer Mark Stafford. As well as hearing from one of the people behind the magic, the team analyses each set in the theme to find out just how fantastic these new builds are. From 71040 Hogwarts Castle to the Collectible Minifigures, every set gets the review treatment.

2018 has been a year of anniversaries, including 40 years since the LEGO minifigure first arrived on the brick scene. To celebrate, Blocks presents a countdown of the finest minifigures released during those four decades, covering the classic themes that have come and gone during that timeframe.

LEGO Ideas is also celebrating a significant year – as it is 10 years since it launched, Blocks speaks to all of the key people who took something that many thought couldn’t be done and turned it into the success story that it is today. A countdown of the 10 best LEGO Ideas releases so far is included too, reflecting on the theme’s finest sets.

There is plenty to be found in the regular sections too, with Family Tree checking out adventure based themes, Technique demonstrating how to use flexi-tubes and Blocks Photography packed with tips on making LEGO sets flight. Brick Wife, Brickpicker and Month in MOCs are all back too in this special 50th issue of Blocks.
