Blocks Magazine reaches issue 101 and with it comes Lord of the Rings, The Clone Wars reviews and much more besides. It arrives 2nd March, and all LEGO lovers need to subscribe right now.

Blocks magazine Issue 101 takes you for a walk in the woods to the charming A-Frame Cabin, before heading on an epic journey to Rivendell via the new LEGO The Lord of the Rings set. To mark the return to Middle-earth, this month’s Blocks includes a designer interview, top ten minifigures and thoughts on the theme’s return.

Issue 101 is available worldwide as a single issue or as part of a subscription at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from March 2. Everyone who subscribes by April 5 will be in with a chance of winning 10316 The Lord of the Rings Rivendell!

Everyone who takes out a subscription to Blocks can get the limited edition 100 issues poster for £1.99 plus postage using code 1.99p poster (ends 8.00am GMT on Thurs, March 2).

Fans have been impatiently waiting for it and now 10316 The Lord of the Rings Rivendell is almost here. To mark the launch of this truly epic set, Blocks has an exclusive interview focused on the set’s design, the top 10 Middle-earth minifigure and a column considering what it means when a fan-favourite theme returns.

Things also get in-depth when it comes to 21338 A-Frame Cabin. First, talented builder Andrea Lattanzio explains how he developed the original model, then the LEGO design team discuss how they delivered it as an official model. It also gets assessed in the Reviews section to see if it’s made from sturdy stuff.

Andrea isn’t the only creative fan featured this month – there’s a look at some of the finest models in LEGO House’s Masterpiece Gallery, the place where the most incredible builds are featured. David Beach also stops by for a chat about the new Pick a Brick Ideas models – he explains the unique process behind them and the thinking behind his billboard.

If those amazing builds encourage you to grab some bricks, then there are top tips for building a sci-fi world in a cohesive way that will deliver excellent results and instructions for putting together a Royal Knights battering ram.

That’s not all of course – you’ll also find a Technic supercars comparison, a look at the first ever LEGO instructions, Star Wars: The Clone Wars set reviews and much, much more this month.

For a bonus dose of Blocks magazine, 100 Incredible LEGO Builds edition celebrates the amazing creativity of LEGO builders from around the world. It is guest edited by Head of Design Matthew Ashton, with commentary provided throughout by the LEGO design team. No LEGO fan should miss it!
