Blocks magazine hits the big ten-oh with its 120th issue, and to celebrate the mag is jam-packed with all the key LEGO information, news and even some free gifts.

It is 10 years since Blocks magazine launched with a special one-off issue then the first monthly edition. To celebrate, new and renewing subscribers can get an exclusive, commemorative brick for a limited time along with a bunch of other free gifts that are perfect for LEGO fans.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is this month’s cover feature, then inside the magazine there are exclusive interviews with director Morgan Neville, who shares his experience telling Pharrell’s life story in Piece by Piece, and LEGO Design Manager Crystal Fontan, who gets into how she adapted Fortnite characters as minifigures.

Issue 120 is available worldwide as part of a subscription or a single issue at blocksmag.com now and will be in UK stores from October 3.

If you take out a 12 month print subscription this week, you’ll get a FREE limited edition Blocks anniversary brick and a FREE set of six exclusive Christmas cards. If you go bigger and take out a 24-month subscription, you’ll also get a FREE poster and a FREE copy of 100 Incredible LEGO Builds, a special one-off magazine packed with build inspiration.

Anyone who wishes to take advantage of the deal can renew their subscription early.

We’re giving away 77073 Battle Bus! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before November 6, 2024. You’ll be entered into a new draw every month for the duration of your subscription.

LEGO Ideas has brought some classic movies to the brick, with 21351 Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas now delivering the beloved stop motion animated movie as an atmospheric model. Fan designer Simon Scott and LEGO professionals Cesar Soares and Laura Perron reveal how they recreated Jack Skellington’s world with the System.

Morgan Neville was tasked with taking a brick approach to some very unexpected subject matter; the life of Pharrell Williams. Piece by Piece is an animated biopic that tells the story of the phenomenally successful artist and producer who has had some of the most epic collaborations in music history. The film’s director discusses how he delivered on Pharrell’s wild idea of telling his life story with LEGO elements.

As the Fortnite partnership gets even bigger with actual LEGO models, Blocks provides exclusive instructions for a very swooshable and very much desk-sized version of the Battle Bus, the iconic vehicle that send players into the thick of the Battle Royale action. Elsewhere in the magazine, Designer Manager Crystal Fontan explains how she worked with Epic Games to find the right interpretation of iconic Fortnite characters as charming minifigures.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Blocks, the team behind the mag pick out their 10 favourite sets from the past 10 years. In This LEGO Life, Daniel reflects on his magical journey with his enormous Hogwarts Castle as it enjoys its final convention appearance. Reviews takes a look at 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 to see if it’s The Legend of Zelda set that gamers have been dreaming of.

There’s plenty more besides in this month’s 116-page magazine, including how to build gravestones in time for Halloween, the top 10 LEGO spiders, how City is levelling up, the LEGOLAND Billund marching band and much, much more.
