After the fantastic success of Shadow of the Sith, Adam Christopher follows it up with the biggest dog in the yard Darth Vader in Master of Evil, a post-Revenge of the Sith novel set in the wake of Order 66 as Palpatine scoops up all the power and the still mysterious Darth Vader starts to build his own legacy. It arrives 11th November, we’ll be reviewing it here on Fantha Tracks, and in the meantime here’s a clip from the audiobook read by the unparalleled Marc Thompson.

The story of Darth Vader is officially continuing with a new Star Wars project set immediately after Revenge of the Sith. Collider is happy to partner with Random House World to exclusively reveal a sneak peek from Star Wars: Master of Evil, a thrilling new novel that takes readers inside the mind of Darth Vader as he hunts for the secrets of life and death for Emperor Palpatine. The novel comes from New York Times bestseller Adam Christopher, who previously wrote the beloved novel Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith. Masters of Evil will hit shelves everywhere next month on November 11.

Star Wars: Master of Evil is set in the wake of Emperor Palpatine’s rise to power, when Darth Vader is a dominant yet mysterious force around the galaxy. Little is known about the new Sith lord, but he’s guided by the promise from his master of conquering death itself, though he’s willing to defy him if necessary. With the unexpected support of Emperor Palpatine, Vader even goes on a mission to the Diso system to find a Force-wielding man who can raise the dead. However, no matter how far Darth Vader travels, he’s haunted by the echoes of his past that chase him to the darkest corners of the galaxy.
