Marvel Comics just released their 500th post 2015 Star Wars comic

The 30^th March 2022 saw Marvel release their 500^th canon Star Wars comic. Just over 3 years ago they released their 300^th Star Wars comic on the 20^th March 2019. Back then it was joint between either the movie adaption of Solo: A Star Wars Story #6 or Star Wars (2015) #63 which were released on the same day.

This time Star Wars (2020) #22 alone takes the top spot.

Since Star Wars (2015) #1 debuted on 14^th January 2015 there has been 37 main titles. Some of these have been one shots like Droids Unplugged (2017) and some have restarted several times like Star Wars and Darth Vader.

We have also seen a few crossovers like the most recently completed War of the Bounty Hunters. This crossover included Star Wars, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra, Bounty Hunters and War of the Bounty Hunters.

Other crossovers include Vader Down, Screaming Citadel and Crimson Reign, the latter of which is a new ongoing series.

Initial sales were strong but steadily declined over the next 5 years with stories being a bit hit and miss and COVID halting production. Star Wars and Darth Vader have remained pretty steady but the War of the Bounty Hunters series and The High Republic saw sales surge again in 2021.
