Better make some more space on your bookshelves as the second Lucasfilm Publishing Panel at New York Comic Con on Saturday dropped even more reveals from Dark Horse. There’s more coming from The High Republic, along with the prequel trilogy era, the time leading up to The Force Awakens and the terrors of Vader’s Castle.
“General Grievous…you’re shorter than I expected.” The cover for the new Original Graphic Novel features a battle-ready Grievous from artist Michael Cho. In related news, Cho’s cover to the Mace Windu Original Graphic Novel was also revealed, proving this party isn’t over yet.
And there are more Qui-Gon Jinn adventures to be had. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Master is getting his own Original Graphic Novel and the first look inside finds him at two key points in his life—when he was a Padawan of Count Dooku, and when he was a teacher to young Obi-Wan. Happy beeps, buddy. Writer Ethan Sacks made a surprise appearance on the Dark Horse panel to reveal art for his new Poe Dameron comic mini-series. Set in the lead up to the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the comic will feature the hotshot Resistance pilot and his faithful droid, BB-8, on a new adventure.

Harvey Tolibao revealed a new 4-issue connecting cover for The High Republic Adventures. Issues #14-17 of the current run showcase the sprawling Battle of Eriadu.
You’re invited to The High Republic Adventures – Wedding Spectacular with a first look inside the nuptials of Lula and Zeen. The brides may now kiss.
And we’re getting more news from Nihil space. In a first look inside issues of Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone, Cavan Scott, Daniel José Older, and Alyssa Wong shared pages and insights from their trio of tales. We have an all-new story of Ty Yorrick from Scott, Older has Jedi detective Emerick Caphtor teaming up with Nihil scientist Niv Drendow (you read that right), and Wong’s features a cat-and-mouse story of Driggit and Ruu. Wong will also soon pen a Battle of Eriadu one-shot comic.
Justina Ireland will bring Vern to The High Republic Adventures. The first look inside shows us a mission set in the days before the nefarious Nihil, in which Padawan Vernestra Rwoh learns a valuable lesson from Master Stellan Gios.
Cavan Scott revealed art from his story in The High Republic Adventures Annual and Vader’s Castle: The Deluxe Library Collection. Inside Scott’s terrifying tales, sketches show works in progress for various individual issue covers. Plus, his newest High Republic story follows mad scientist Baron Boolan.
