The colourful world of Star Wars art has a long and storied history, with vivid pieces evoking and exciting viewers for decades, but few captured the imagination the way the art of Greg and Tim Hildebrandt did. Yesterday, after battling ill health for a while, Greg joined his late brother Tim in the great art gallery in the sky, leaving behind numerous incredible pieces of art that for generations to come will entice and welcome new and old into the galaxy far, far away.

I had the great fortune to not only interview Greg for Star Wars Insider but also to chat with him at New York Comic Con back in 2018, an interview you can watch below.

To his many friends and family we offer our deepest condolences, and grateful thanks for giving us so many unforgettable pieces of art.
