Believ eit or not, The Force Awakens is ten years old next month, and while UK fans had the chance to celebrate the first sequel film in over 30 years at the Royal Albert Hall last weekend and can celebrate again in the New Forest at Thank The Maker on 7th December, readers worldwide can own this very special issue of Star Wars Insider which looks back a decade to 2015 and the release of Episode VII with interviews with the cast and crew, and as Tiotan have kindly shared with Fantha Tracks, spreads chatting with Anthony Daniels, and Chewbacca performers, the late peter Mayhew and Joonas Suotamo.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The 10th Anniversary Special Edition commemorates the return of the space fantasy to cinema screens a decade ago, with the first episode of a new trilogy that completed the Skywalker saga.

Star Wars Insider documented the making of the movie, with unique access to the cast and crew, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, director J.J. Abrams, and more.

Featuring interviews with the actors and filmmakers, this deluxe special edition takes an in-depth look at the making of the movie, featuring incredible production photos and original concept art.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrived in theaters a decade after the prequel trilogy came to its close, with a new creative team now exploring the galaxy that George Lucas had created in 1977. The film, directed by J.J. Abrams and co-written by him and Lawrence Kasdan, launched the space fantasy into a brand-new era, and to a new generation of fans.

Released on December 18, 2015, The Force Awakens continued the epic Skywalker saga with a seventh episode, catching up with familiar faces from the original trilogy in a story set thirty years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. However, the main focus would fall on a younger group of heroes as they faced the villainous threat of a foe even more ruthless than the Empire that had preceded it: the First Order!

As it had done throughout production of the prequel trilogy, Star Wars Insider interviewed the cast and creators behind the saga’s next chapter, providing fans with fascinating coverage of the movie.
