With all of the news coming out of the Galaxy’s Edge media event in Disneyland last night its possible that you may have missed a very important piece of information regarding how you can get early entry into Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World when it is opens later this year.

It would appear that if you are staying at either a “Walt Disney World Resort Hotel” or “other select hotels” then you will be granted early access in to Batuu from 6am – 9am from Sept 1st to Nov 2 (obviously for the days you are a guest at the hotel not the whole period)

This is great news as its more than possible that the land will reach capacity however this perk will give you the best chance of getting in!

You can see Leanne O’Regan and celebration stage host Mark Daniel make the announcement below (at 37 mins and 11 seconds in)

The official page’s “Know before you go” section has also been updated to say the following:

Capacity for Disney’s Hollywood StudiosStar Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its experiences is limited. Access to the park, land and experiences may be restricted or unavailable depending on guest demand and other factors. Park tickets, Annual Passes, vacation packages and Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays do not guarantee access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be included during Extra Magic Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And from September 1 to November 2, 2019, the Extra Magic Hours benefit is being offered every morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels.

Disney FastPass+ service is unavailable for the attractions in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will not be available at the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and will open later this year.

Lets hope they keep the early access going beyond these dates as I have a feeling it will be very well used!
