PC Gamer take a look at this summers new Star Wars game Zero Company, and to say they’re impressed would be an understatement. Click here to check out their advance klook at the game, watch their video review above and get ready for some top tier Star Wars action when the game arrives sometime later in the year.

Star Wars Zero Company surprised us. When ‪@EAStarWars‬ invited PC Gamer to be one of the first outlets in the world to play their new game, Ted Litchfield went in with high expectations – a Clone Wars tactics game made by former XCOM and Jedi Survivor devs is a slam drunk – but even these were surpassed. It blends the familiar combat of XCOM with sumptuous third-person action-adventure storytelling, and a healthy dose of Mass Effect style RPG management, and could be a game of the year contender.

00 – Intro
01 – A Clone Wars story
41 – Mass Effect style RPG elements
42 – Third-person action-adventure meets XCOM
38 – Who is making Zero Company?
57 – Combat feels deep
55 – Even named characters can die
08 – All astromech squad? Sure!
09 – Final thoughts
