Direct from the school of obfuscation comes this quote from actor, writer, director and all-round good bloke Taika Waititi who provides a tantalising sketch – well, more of a doodle – of where he is with his Star Wars film right now. Waititi touched upon a few projects, including Thor: Love and Thunder (“It is so insane and it’s also very romantic. … I’m into romances now. I just want to make a romance.“) and had this to say about his GFFA film.

“We’re writing. This is you: ‘Here’s a question…Star Wars?’ How am I supposed to answer that? Yes.”

So yes, Star Wars but the main takeaway is that he is writing, meaning somewhere in the world is a notepad or hard drive with a brand new Star Wars adventure taking shape.
