It’s been five years since the last big screen adventure The Rise of Skywalker hit cinems in late 2019, and today Bob Iger announced that the next cinematic Star Wars adventure will be The Mandalorian & Grogu, which will be in theaters in 2026 and see the dynamic clan of two jump from small to big screen.

As shown above, 22nd May or 18th December are the two open slots for Star Wars in 2026, so the big question would appear to be which film will take the December slot? The Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy Rey Skywalker film, the Shawn Levy movie, the James Mangold Dawn of the Jedi film or the Dave Filoni Mandoverse movie? With Celebration Europe last April bringing out Daisy Ridley it would seem most likely that’s the other release but this is Star Wars and to use a wrestling phrase ‘Card Subject to Change’.
