One of the characters noticable by their absense from the end of season two of The Mandalorian was Axe Woves, and Katee Sackhoff touched upon that omission in a recent interview, hinting that his non-appearance may have more behind it than simply the actor being unavailable.

“He just wasn’t there, he just wasn’t there. And there’s a reason and it’s just one of those things where I don’t know if that story is something I’m supposed to tell, so he just wasn’t there.”

Perhaps Woves was on a separate mission – with plenty more shows from the Mandoverse ocmming our way there’s every likelihood that we will find out just what that mission was in good time.
