Most books don’t get that, but most books aren’t filled with such charming imagery.
Heading into the book itself it dives into some of the story elements of the sequel trilogy, poking gentle fun at the story, characters and situations from a kids point of view. Brown has a great knack of finding the innocent voices – you can pretty much hear the voice cast of the Charlie Brown series saying the words – and as such adds a sweet innocence (and some ewoks) to the book. There’s even a cute Beatles reference for fans of the Fab Four.
The series is one that can run and run, and presumably Chronicle and Lucasfilm feel the same. With The Rise of Skywalker on its way don’t be surprised if further adventures arrive. It’s a big galaxy, one that’s brighter for the presence of these magical books that kids of all ages can enjoy.
