Fantastic news as the 2024 New Years Honours List includes a recipient from the galaxy far, far away as Emilia Clarke – Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story – has been awarded an MBE for services to charity, specifically the setting up of SameYou, a charity dedicated to helping patients post-brain haemorrhage, something Emilia has dealt with not once but twice.

Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, who survived two brain haemorrhages, is made an MBE alongside her mother Jenny, for establishing a charity, called SameYou, which help others with similar conditions.

She says the award is “wonderful awareness building for the cause”.

Huge congratulations to Emilia and Jenny for their well-deserved awards.
