As part of their ongoing efforts to support CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland), Ewan McGregor, his brother Colin and Lochranza Distillery have created just 150 bottles of a unique 26 year-old Arran Single Malt whisky called ‘Ewan’s Cut‘ with the first 24 signed by Ewan and each of the 150 bottles having unique labels based on film scripts, with no two alike. The bottles go to auction between 27th September and 7th October, with Whisky Auctioneer waiving their usual sellers commission as well as donating the 12.5% buyers commission to CHAS.

This rare 26 year old Arran Single Malt, matured in an ex-Sherry Hogshead cask, is one of the oldest whiskies ever produced by the Lochranza Distillery. Bottled at 46% ABV, each bottle features a unique, specially designed label. The first twenty-four of the bottles have been personally signed by Ewan McGregor. The Leith Agency worked in partnership with Ewan and his brother Colin McGregor to bring “Ewan’s Cut” to life on a pro-bono basis. The bottle design and name were inspired by Ewan’s illustrious career, featuring references to his iconic roles in films like Trainspotting and Star Wars, as well as his memorable Long Way Round adventure. Each of the 150 bottle labels reads like a mini film script, with no two labels alike.

Exciting news! Our longtime friend Ewan McGregor has teamed up with Lochranza Distillery to create 150 exclusive bottles of Arran Single Malt whisky, with all proceeds going to CHAS. The special whisky, “Ewan’s Cut,” comes from Ewan’s personal cask, gifted by the distillery in 1998. The stunning bottle design, inspired by his roles in films like Trainspotting & Star Wars, was brought to life by The Leith Agency with Ewan and his brother Colin. Ewan shared: “I’ve visited CHAS hospices many times & seen the incredible care they provide. I hope this auction raises enough to keep supporting these amazing places.”

Huge thanks to Ewan, Colin, Lochranza Distillery, The Leith Agency, & Whisky Auctioneer for generously donating their time & fees to support children & families in Scotland. The auction starts 27 Sept on the Whisky Auctioneer site, with the first 24 bottles personally signed by Ewan himself. Don’t miss out!
