Available in Legacy and Signature Editions, here’s a first look at the new Archive Collection Jabba the Hutt Early Concept Maquette Replica from Regal Robot, bringing Phil Tippett‘s early version of the slimy Hutt to collectors. The Signature Edition is priced at $499, the Legacy Edition $799 and you can reserve yours (if based in North America) on 4th February at noon Eastern.

The latest replica in our Archive Collection is Phil Tippett’s Early Concept Maquette for Jabba the Hutt. The classic gangster from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™ is part of our Star Wars™ Archive Collection, a continuation and expansion of our work creating authentic replicas with impeccable lineage.

Available in two editions!

The Signature Edition of just 83 pieces includes a plaque signed by ILM veteran and legendary creature maker, Phil Tippett, who sculpted several variations of the Jabba the Hutt character before hitting on the final design seen in the film.

The extremely limited Legacy Edition of just 40 pieces goes beyond a signature edition to provide each owner with a truly unique work-of-art. Each hand-painted maquette in this Legacy Edition will include a premium expanded plaque including a one-of-a-kind pencil illustration of the creature, hand-drawn by Tippett.

This beastly maquette is a real look inside the mind of Tippett and his wide-open style of creature design. With hands-on access to the original film artifact and high resolution 3D scanning, our team crafted a faithful recreation of this early concept for the infamous character.

At approximately 8.25″ wide (including the wood display base), each resin maquette is 100% made in the U.S.A. Every replica in this edition is meticulously hand painted by the artists in our New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!

Best of all, our artists are already working on the first waves of production of these replicas and we expect paid-in-full orders to ship within just a few weeks!

Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity to bring home not just an authentic replica, scanned from the original artifact, but also an original work of art with a direct connection to the artists that inspire us!
