Episode 10 – Make It Stop
Official summary: Lonni Jung taps out. Dedra closes in. Luthen scrambles. Kleya delivers.
Trivia
Even in its final appearance, we can see something new at the Senate District Plaza: a hovertrain gliding by. Considering how many people who would need to go to work here, or even tourists coming to visit, it makes a lot of sense to have a train station here.
And so the Rebellion finally learns about the Death Star, thanks to Lonni Jung. Not many Bothans and it being leaked on purpose, but multiple breadcrumbs finally combined by one man.
Pix is a Tooka that discovers the body of Lonni Jung. The animal was named after a recently deceased dog of one of the visual effects artists and its name can be read on the collar of the Tooka.
On the Old Stairs Luthen and Kleya list all the clues they have had and combine it to complete the whole picture. Everything that they mention is stuff we saw in the series and Rogue One.
There is a new item in the shop: a Nautolan bleeder. This is a knife used by the Nautolan species, the species introduced in Attack of the Clones with Jedi Master Kit Fisto. As Luthen mentions, there are two items of questionable providence. The first is the knife, but the second is more symbolic and is actually Luthen himself.
Dedra brings with her the vintage Imperial Starpath unit from season 1 episode 3.
As Luthen is taken away by ambulance (called Imperial ambunauts) we see the ISB Tactical Agent for the first time, which were revealed as a Black Series figure on May 6. They have even more to do in the next episodes.
As the shop of Luthen is being investigated we see some other interesting items, like the stone carving with the hand symbols from Mortis and the Klorri-clan battle shield from the Battle Of Kashyyyk in Revenge of the Sith (seen before in the series).
“Rosh ne luts” is what Luthen says in the first flashback, and while we know that it means “Make it stop”, the language is still unknown.
This flashback also reveals Luthen’s actual name as Lear and how he met Kleya. Not only is Lear a tuckerization of Real, befitting the longstanding tradition of tuckerizations within Star Wars, it also brings to mind Shakespeare’s King Lear.
The soldiers that we see are wearing Mudtrooper outfits from Solo. All the soldiers are unnamed in the episode and the subtitles, but two of them received names in the end credits: Private Moros (Jacob Avery) and Corporal Amari (Bailey Patrick).
Kleya is going to the hospital where they have taken Luthen. On the building the Aurebesh reads: Lina Soh. Just like how in real-life hospitals can be named after important people, so it is on Coruscant. Lina Soh was the Supreme Chancellor during the High Republic era.
As expected for a hospital, a bacta tank can be seen. It is seen behind Kleya as she spots the ISB agents in an elevator. There is a small alien with a snout next to it, which is a new species.
Another new species is seen walking in the background in a nightgown with a tail sticking out.
Also unknown, but seen before on Niamos, is the alien species of the character that the subtitles identifies as Granny. Granny received a proper name in the official site’s databank: Faiza.
A second flashback is seen. While the planet remains unknown, as is the statue that they are trying to sell, the shopkeeper is called Tinch (Juliet Cowan) according to the end credits.
In the third flashback, we are at another unnamed planet and this shopkeeper also received a name in the end credits: Grenwig (Jem Wall). To him they are trying to sell a Devaronian victory necklace, referencing the species first seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope.
The prisoners walking by in chains echoes a similar moment in Rogue One on Jedha. Unfortunately none of these characters received names in the end credits despite the actors being credited for their roles.
The shopkeeper alien seen in the background next to young Kleya as she watches the execution is very reminiscent of Sav Malagán, a Kyuzo female Jedi Master from The High Republic. Maybe this character was intended as a Kyuzo?
Back at the hospital we have Faiza scatting the Cantina song.
Doctor Nash is a mentioned-only character.
Naboo returns! This was filmed at Hever Castle, right above the fountain that you see so clearly in a deleted scene of The Phantom Menace when Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Jar Jar arrive in Theed. Sadly there are no Gungans in sight this time.
This episode is the first time that a titular character of a series does not appear at all in an episode of the series. There was an entire episode of The Book Of Boba Fett dedicated to the Mandalorian, but even then Boba Fett made an appearance.
And there are even more new character names revealed in the end credits:
* Attendant Joydali (Jonathan Oldfield) – The ISB underling of Heerst. He has a more important role investigating what happened at the Lina Soh Medical Center in the next episode.
* Lepori (Caoilfhionn Dunne) – The ISB tech specialist who was impressed by the technology used by Luthen and Kleya.
* Doctor Braider (Pandora Colin) – The female doctor who verbally went against Dedra.
