Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released earlier this year to a lot of buzz and excitement. As the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise of top-rated games, this one, in particular, has been very much anticipated by gamers across the globe.
The new game is a sequel to 2019’s modern classic Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and is available to play on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5. Gamers will be playing in a world set five years after the previous game, leading the main character Cal Kestis (now a Jedi Knight) in his perilous fight against the Empire. The third-person galaxy-spanning adventure game will be a new favorite for many gamers, but don’t dive into gameplay just yet, here are five skills we think you should master before you buy Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
1. Strategic Thinking
Playing games is a popular hobby for many people, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t play with the hopes of being the very best in the game – and, to do this, you need to learn to think strategically. Take advice from players of online casinos who spend their time trying to make intelligent bets and outwit their opponents. You wouldn’t see players of roulette games going into a game blind without a strategy, even though they know that no strategy can guarantee a win in the game. And this is the same approach you should take when playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
When you’re moving your character through the different tasks in the face of your enemies, you need to approach every situation with a tactical mind if you want to ensure your chances of success. You need to be able to accurately assess the battlefield, quickly identify any opportunities or threats, and work out what your enemies’ weaknesses are before you engage in combat with them.
When you go in with an effective plan of how you’re going to come out on top, you will be able to work through the game to victory!
2. Work on Your Lightsaber Skills
The world of Star Wars maybe wouldn’t have been as popular without the iconic lightsaber weapon. Throughout this new game, you’ll be relying on a lightsaber as your primary weapon, so make sure you know how to use it properly.
Go back through and play some of the previous installments of the Star Wars game to refresh your lightsaber skills before moving on to the latest game. Take your time to learn the various techniques and combat forms that you can use while wielding this weapon.
You will also want to think about your timing and blocking skills so you can instantly defend against enemy attacks and devise innovative counter-attacks that will leave your opponent surprised by your quick skills. If it helps, you can also read lightsaber skill guides, to help you learn more about how you can better use your weapon.
3. Be One With The Force
Growing up, we’re sure that most of you dreamed of one day being able to master The Force and, in these games, it’s an important skill that you can use to your advantage. Using The Force, you can manipulate your opponent and the environment around them to come out on top.
By developing your force senses, you’ll be able to unlock new powers and gain an edge while in combat against other players. When you learn to wield the Force properly, you’ll be a deadly opponent to anyone who challenges you.
4. Learn to Solve Problems and Puzzles
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a lot more to it than just fighting other characters and swinging your lightsaber around, it’s a game that involves a lot of skill and experience. Throughout the game, you’ll be challenged with a variety of problems and puzzles that you will need to solve if you want to continue.
To get through these problems unscathed, you’ll want to sharpen your analytical skills and learn to think outside of the box. The answers to many of these tricky situations will not always be apparent straight away, it’s up to you to find a creative solution to unlock new areas and progress.
5. Manage Your Resources Effectively
When you’re trying to fight the empire and the many evil characters who are out to get you, it’s important to be wise when it comes to using your resources. Normally, you’ll only have a very small amount which you won’t want to use all at once.
As you progress throughout your game, you’ll have to fight your enemies and recover after – which you’ll always need resources for. Learning when to use your resources is a skill you will have developed from other games but will be extremely important in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor if you want to survive to the very end.
