Hosted by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt, the Many Jacinto panel at this past weekend’s FanExpo San Francisco gave fans a taste of what could have been as the Qimir actor revealed that had The Acolyte managed to make it to a second season, we would have seen more – a lot more – of Darth Plagueis, a character fans have wanted to know more about since he was first mentioned almost 20 years ago in Revenge of the Sith.

“There are definitely a lot of different theories, like who he is, because we never actually know his true identity. Is Qimir’s name actually Qimir? We definitely wanted to explore it. There was definitely going to be more of Plagueis in the second, or if not, the third seasons of the show, but I just can’t say, because, you know, we could come back. I don’t want to spoil anything, or give anybody any false hope, but I would just say there was a lot more to explore, for sure.”

What would the future of the show have been, had it continued? Would it have been three seasons and a movie, as some online chatter claims, and would we have bridged the gap from season 1 to The Phantom Menace itself? We may never know, but you can always ponder the possibilities over on Fantha Tracks socials.
