There’s a wealth of Star Wars coming our way over the coming months and years and amongst that goldrush of content lies Ahsoka, and star Natasha Liu Bordizzo has her own thoughts about her character Sabine Wren, and where the show lies in the wider spread of Star Wars.

“Sabine is so fearless and brave, with so much grace, but she still has flaws… she’s not perfect, she’s on her journey, she’s making mistakes. And it’s very high stakes in this galactic war, to make mistakes.”

“A lot of people have not seen Rebels… It’s great for them to have seen it, but we’ve got a standalone chapter as it is.”

As we dive deeper into the TV era of Star Wars, characters from other shows and media will fold into new and established shows, forging their own stories independent of ones they’ve been a part of before, and while it seems clear that other Rebels characters will be appearing  – bucket nods to Chopper and Hera Syndulla – it’s encouraging that new ground if being broke while old stories are being honoured.
