As Star Wars fans, with one of – if not the – most active and opinionated fandoms in all of entertainment, the phrase ‘a certain point of view’ is perfectly apt. That applies very well to these words from Rian Johnson, riding the crest of a wave after the superb reaction to his forthcoming film Knives Out.

The Star Wars galaxy is so busy right now and despite mixed reactions from fans, the box office for The Last Jedi made it the 9th (now the 13th) highest grossing film of all time worldwide and the 9th highest domestically. That would be tough for Johnson and production partner Ram Bergman to contemplate walking away from and with early work in progress on his new Star Wars series, such numbers would surely be more than attractive to Disney and Lucasfilm. Let’s see how well the already well received Knives Out does at the box office.
