Speaking with Empire Magazine before the current SAG-AFTRA strike – a strike which means Rosario Dawson and her fellow Ahsoka cast and crew are unable to promote the high-profile Disney Plus series which lands in less than three weeks time – Dawson made clear her feelings on the changes that she feels need to happen within the industry.

“I think one of the critical aspects of this particular fight, and why I feel it’s so strong, is because we all just watched the whole planet shut down for Covid. We watched everything stop on a dime and pivot.

So, the idea that we can’t change how things are because that’s the way it’s always been and always will be, we all collectively know that’s BS.

“With the advancement of Al as well, there’s a lot to be questioned, communicated and talked about. We need to protect people going forwards.”
