Temuera Morrison on his more talkative Boba Fett: “I’m talking too much”

One of the most noticeable elements of the pre-sarlacc Boba Fett wasn’t just his lethal skills, fearsome reputation and relentless purstuit of his goals but also his word economy. Never one to run his mouth, Fett often said far, far more by saying much, much less, and that aspect of Fett is something that has got Temuera Morrison thinking, to the point that he suggested trimming lines from the script of The Book of Boba Fett when producer Jon Favreau was away from the set.

“I’m talking too much. This bubba doesn’t talk this much!”

“‘I’ve got all these paragraphs here! I think we should get rid of it. And Jon’s gone to Atlanta, so don’t tell him!’ Next morning on set, I get a call from Atlanta: ‘Uh, Jon wants you to say all that dialogue.’”

We’ll be discussing this and more on the next episode of Making Tracks, out tomorrow.
