As you may already know, Fantha Tracker Ben Allen is a massive Star Wars fan and he loves nothing more than kitting up in his Stormtrooper armour and going for a stroll. In 2016 Ben, Simon Cherry and Matthew Mew, went on a little walk from the Isle of Wight to London, to raise money for the Joe Ellis Trust. They pledged to raise £2500, but unbelievably hit nearly £7000! It would appear Ben is going for another walk and Fantha Tracks are proud to be following his progress and keeping you updated on his where abouts!
On April 28th 2018, Ben will be strapping on his Stormtrooper armour once more and going on a little stroll for the charity Layla’s Trust.
Layla’s Trust is a fantastic cause, with a truly heartbreaking story, but through this pain comes great work, and from selfless acts to help bereaved families and to aid those who care for children with life limiting conditions and terminal illness.
To try and raise some much needed funds for the trust Ben,Simon and Matthew, along with their pals Steve and Y T in support are going walk to the French capital, PARIS!
Starting from Cowes, Isle of Wight, they’ll walk to Ryde, before crossing the Solent to Portsmouth, where they will then board a cross channel ferry. Once in Le Havre the team will walk along the Seine River to Paris. It will be walking approximately 230km over 7 days to reach the Eiffel Tower at 3pm on May 6th 2018.
Ben will be donning his Stormtrooper armour once more, whilst Simon and Matt accompany him on the journey. Our good friends Steve Revert-West and  Y T will be aiding this time in a support vehicle, so they won’t have to carry as much.
The target is to raise £5000 this time, and they’ll be eternally grateful if our fellow Fantha Trackers can give as little or as much as you can to a great cause!
We will be following Ben’s Journey on Fantha Tracks, however Ben has set up a public Facebook group to chart his journey. Click here to join.
