Recently browsing through some old racing magazines while researching watch ads, this caught my eye; the Coca-Cola Cobot from 1979. Available as a remote control toy, this 9 1/2″ tall, not-quite-R2-D2 toy was ‘Star Wars adjacent‘, needing x4 AA and x2 9 Volt batteries, but was certainly close enough to catch the eye of any fan in the late 70’s.
