Imagine having the opportunity to pick up and hold a bowcaster the weapon used by Chewbacca (as played by the late Peter Mayhew in the original trilogy), or having in your hands the galactic version of the Victoria Cross, the Medal of Yavin. That’s what Adam Savage was able to do ahead of the next Propstore auction, which takes place on 26th – 28th March in Los Angeles, and here we can see Adam with Propstore COO Brandon Alinger to discuss these amazing hero props.

Adam gets his hands on two screen-matched props from Star Wars: the actual Medal of Yavin given to Luke Skywalker at the end of Episode IV, and Chewbacca’s hero bowcaster that was used for all three original trilogy films! These props are in startlingly good condition, and the bowcaster in particular reveals interesting details about how the prop was modified over the course of the trilogy. Do you think Chewbacca should have gotten a medal too?
