Available as a $499.00 Signature Edition and a $799.00 Legacy Edition, this is the new Yuzzum concept maquette from Regal Robot, bringing this Return of the Jedi legend into collectors hands. Named in Legends as Wam Lufba, 14 years later the species would land again in the Special Editions, when Joh Yowza fronted Max Rebo’s band in Jabba’s palace, the place the original Yuzzum lived in ’83.

The latest replica in our Archive Collection is the Concept Maquette for Yuzzum. The alien was originally sketched by concept artist and costume designer, Nilo Rodis-Jamero. Judy Elkins sculpted the maquette and the character was ultimately fabricated at full size as a member of the court of Jabba’s Palace.

The fan-favorite alien from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™ is part of our Star Wars™ Archive Collection, a continuation and expansion of our work creating authentic replicas with impeccable lineage. With hands-on access to the original film artifact and high resolution 3D scanning, our team has crafted an incredibly faithful recreation of this early concept sculpture!

Available in two editions!

The Signature Edition of just 83 pieces includes a plaque signed by Return of the Jedi creature shop sculptor, Judy Elkins, who sculpted many concept maquettes for the production of the film.

The extremely limited Dual-Signature Legacy Edition of just 40 pieces goes beyond a signature edition to provide each owner with a truly unique work-of-art. Each hand-painted maquette in this Legacy Edition will include a premium expanded plaque including a one-of-a-kind illustration of the creature, hand-drawn by concept designer, Nilo Rodis-Jamero. This DUAL-SIGNATURE edition also includes a plaque signed by both Rodis-Jamero AND Elkins!

Vintage production polaroids in the Lucasfilm image archives show the maquette was originally made with a kit-bashed blaster rifle. Later 1983 images show the maquette empty handed. He remains that way today in the prop archives, however, using those vintage photos, the original model parts used in crafting that blaster have been discovered and our team referenced those when digitally recreating the blaster for this edition. Each Yuzzum Maquette Replica comes with a resin blaster and small magnets help the maquette hold it in the proper position to match those vintage photos.

Yuzzum is one of the largest Return of the Jedi maquettes, at approximately 11 1/8″ tall (including the wood display base). Each resin maquette is 100% made in the U.S.A. and features customized faux fur from the same source used by the creature makers back in 1983. Every replica in this edition is meticulously hand painted by the artists in our New York studio, making each a unique tribute to the artistry involved behind the scenes of our favorite films!

Best of all, our artists are already working on the first waves of production of these replicas and we expect paid-in-full orders to ship within just a few weeks!

While the species would be revisited in the 90’s Special Editions to become the new Rebo Band singer, Joh Yowza, this particular iteration of the alien was known in Legends canon as Wam Lufba and is seen in many behind the scenes photos of Jabba’s palace and in documentaries like “Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi” and “From Star Wars to Jedi: The Making of a Saga.”

Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity to bring home not just an authentic replica, scanned from the original artifact, but also an original work of art with a direct connection to the artists that inspire us!
