If your a hermit like Ben Kenobi, can you image a 30 hour rave party on your doorstep ?    Well that is about to become reality.

The third edition of a 30-hour rave party called Les Dunes Electroniques will be held in Tunisia November 16-17. The venue will be among the desert dunes of Ong Jmal in Nefta, where George Lucas’s film ‘Stars Wars’ was shot. The event combines entertainment, culture and tourism with house music on two stages against a backdrop of sand and traditional Tunisian homes.

There will be 30 DJs from the international electronic music scene. Since their launch in 2014, Les Dunes Electroniques have received support from the Tunisian tourism and crafts ministry, ”without which it would not have been possible to organise this event,” Plages Electroniques director Patrick Ouergui said in a press conference. Tourism and Crafts Minister René Trabelsi said that he was proud to take part in this event, underscoring that the event makes it possible to ”highlight the beauty of the Tunisian desert”. Les Dunes Elecroniques receive support from the European Union and EU Ambassador to Tunisia Patrice Bergamini said that ”Tunisia is one of the last sub-Saharan deserts in which it is possible to enjoy everything that the desert and its population can offer in complete security”.
